The Department of Media Studies Library currently houses almost 5,000 books and numerous journals covering a wide range of specialized topics in the field of media studies. These include media theory and history, communication and cultural studies, as well as media-specific subjects such as photography, film, radio, television, video, internet, theater, dance, literature, and visual arts. You can search our collection through the swisscovery catalog. As the Department Library is a reference library, items cannot be borrowed. However, students have the opportunity to view and read publications on-site.

Most of the media studies literature, however, is held in the Basel University Library, where publications can be borrowed.

Copying machines are available on the 3rd floor, which can be used with UniPrint and copy cards.
